For the next two years, beginning in January 2012, Science Pipes will be collaborating with the Ecological Society of America (ESA) on a National Science Digital Library project. From ESA news:
The National Science Foundation awarded ESA a $600,000 grant to develop its EcoEd Digital Library and the digital libraries of three partner societies: the Botanical Society of America, Society for Economic Botany and Society for the Study of Evolution. With Cornell University’s Science Pipes, a data visualization tool, the project will facilitate the discovery of digital and data-rich resources in the ecological, evolution and plant sciences within a rapidly changing biology.
We'll keep you up to date with developments in that project.
