We are pleased to announce that beginning today you can create and edit pipes using Internet Explorer (version 7 and 8). Until now, Science Pipes has supported only Firefox, Safari, and Chrome browsers. This was problematic for some users since they had access only to Microsoft's Internet Explorer. This change opens up Sciences Pipes to many more users.
Partnership with Ecological Society of America

Crossing Boundaries staff and teachers have published an article in "The Science Teacher" describing Science Pipes and showing potential classroom uses for it. The article, entitled "Science Pipes: A World of Data at Your Fingertips", is free if you are an NSTA member, or just $0.99 if not.

People putting together pipes for the ebird Contest have found some problems with Science Pipes. Notably, the pipe editor doesn't work well with IE. (OK, it doesn't work at all!) Read more about that and the other issues uncovered. Fortunately we there are simple work arounds...
